On the 13th of April, emerging indie pop sensation Mia Langridge returned to the stage with a headline performance at The Prince Albert, celebrating the release of her newest single ‘Big Bang’. Joined by supporting acts ‘Ebony Osailah’ and ‘Lenny’, the sold out showcase was set to be a phenomenal success.

Ebony Osailah opened the night with a captivating performance, dressed in sequins and sparkles from head to toe. Off the back of her most recent single, ‘Drunk Callin’, it was no surprise to see the audience swaying to the beat and singing along. Ebony’s set blended soulful vocals with a fusion of r&b and modern pop, creating a sound that felt uniquely hers.

‘Cherry Pop Princess’ Lenny was second to grace the stage with her contagious energy and emotional storytelling. Debuting her newly released single, ‘Daydream’, the crowd couldn’t help but cheer in excitement. Lenny’s infectious aura radiated through the room, her set combining transformative lyricism with addictive melodies that couldn’t be ignored.

From the outset, Mia’s energy was unrivalled, her catchy melodies bouncing between the walls as she shone under the Brighton lights. Accompanied by her guitar, Mia is wearing her signature black-sequin shorts, paired with an exclusive ‘Big Bang’ tshirt, designed especially for the release show. To complement the theme of ‘Big Bang’, the Pool Valley Team decorated lighters with beads and gemstones, sold on the merch stand alongside the T-shirts.

As the night progressed, Mia remained as witty as ever with laughter erupting from the crowd in between each song. Even if unintentionally, she never fails to charm her crowds with a sense of humour. The setlist was curated to perfection, featuring all of the fan favourites, including the singles ‘Birthday Party’ and ‘Let Me Be’. Throughout Mia’s set the crowd remained electrified - dancing, singing and waving arms in the air at any given opportunity.

With the night coming to an end, Mia closed out her set with the eagerly anticipated ‘Big Bang’. Considering the single had only been released 4 weeks prior, the audience seemed to know every single word. Mia’s vocals remained forceful and assured throughout the night, her presence unwavering as she transitioned effortlessly from high energy pop performances to softer moments of storytelling. After witnessing the way in which she commanded the stage with such certainty and precision, it’s entirely evident that Mia Langridge is making her mark on the Brighton scene, and this is only the beginning.

Next month Mia will be performing at The Great Escape Festival. More information available on The Great Escape Website.
