MAKING NOISE TOGETHER: POOL VALLEY RECORDS x THE YARD
Pool Valley Records is proud to announce its first formal partnership: a collaboration with The Yard Recording Studio, an established recording studio based in the heart of Brighton.
With more than twenty years of experience recording and producing bands and artists, Alex Barron and the team at The Yard offer professional recording, mixing and mastering, alongside live video recording. They work closely with artists to capture their sound and help bring creative visions to life. The studio is located at Unit 7, Lansdowne Mews, Brighton and Hove.
The partnership is designed to support Pool Valley’s community-interest aims: giving emerging artists access to professional facilities, creating opportunities for young people, and strengthening the local music and creative scene. Artists signed to or working with Pool Valley will now have a clear, trusted route into a high-quality studio environment, from the first session through to finished masters.
The agreement includes preferential studio rates that improve with volume, mutual promotion across both parties’ websites and social channels, and a shared commitment to supporting projects from recording all the way to release. It is deliberately non-exclusive, leaving both sides free to work with other partners while prioritising this collaboration.
For Pool Valley this is a significant step. As a student-led Community Interest Company, the label has always aimed to connect artists with the right people and resources. Linking up with a long-standing local studio like The Yard makes that connection concrete and practical.
Together, Pool Valley Records and The Yard are focused on one simple goal: helping artists get from idea to finished record with proper support at every stage.
